Earlier today I received a message which linked me to RunRonPaul.com.

The message presented a CNN news clip entitled “Gee… I Wonder Who CNN Wants To Ban From The Republican Debates Next?” and included the following text:

CNN Reports Ron Paul At 0% While CNN Online Poll Shows Him At 75%

While the online poll conducted by CNN shows Ron Paul as the clear winner with 75% of the votes, CNN reporters pull a fast one by citing a lesser known poll hosted at National Journal claiming Ron Paul came in at 0%.

CNN discards their own poll in favor of another poll that shows results more to their liking.

This is overt propaganda.

The National Journal poll cited by CNN now shows Ron Paul in the lead with 33% of the vote.

Naturally, I took action!  I called CNN…twice!  First, I left a comment, but that didn’t seem like enough, so I called back.  The second time, I chose the “news tip” option and read a slightly different version of the following “breaking news” to the live operator.

Major cable news station refused to post its own poll showing Ron Paul receiving nearly 75% of the votes!

In an obvious attempt to portray Doctor Paul as irrelevant, by using another poll in leiu of their own, CNN has posted a poll hosted by the National journal which shows Ron Paul receiving 0% of the votes.  However, that same National Journal poll now shows Ron Paul in the lead with 33% of the vote.

Public opinion on this issue is growing on the web.  “This is overt propaganda!” said one, “They’re obviously afraid of Ron Paul” said another.  And still another said, “This is what we get when our media reports opinions rather than facts.”

Says this reporter, “CNN is not simply the promoter of misleading propaganda — they have committed fraud!  This is not 1981!  People can find the truth in less than two minutes, with just a few keystrokes.”

After reading the story to the CNN operator, I was asked to email it to her, at vcm@cnn.com — which I did.   Further developments will be posted below.   In the meantime, feel free to call and email CNN to using the phone number and email information provided.

Update – June 15, 2011:  I didn’t think that CNN would respond to the requested email…and I was right.   It seems that the Communist News Network is not interested in valid reporting.  They would rather promote the typical Republocrats and Demopublicans, as always.
